off THANK YOU for another wonderful dining experience. We just
visited your restaurant on Aug. 26th for our anniversary
dinner. At that time we purchased one of your cookbooks in hopes of
recreating some of your magic.
Some
of your receipts call for white wine… Problem is neither of us are
big wine drinkers. So the question is what do you recommend we stock
our kitchen with? Also what is a good Marsala wine

Casalinga. From your seafood "Italian Style" cook book. Simple but
elegant. Great sauce. Love it.

We had dinner at your restaurant this evening and the meals were
absolutely marvelous. The waitresses were excellent and we truly
enjoyed the food. It is by far the best that we have had during our
stay at Lincoln City. We fell in love with your Italian salad

Thank you so much for your quick response to my recipe request.
Until my wife, Marsha, retires at the end of August, I am the head
chef in our house, as I have been for the past five years. I'll have
to give the recipe a whirl sometime soon, but I'm sure it won't
measure up to yours that is served at Avanti. The only time I had
some that comes close was several years ago in Stamford, CT and we
went there two nights in a row, just so I could have the linguine
with clam sauce.
Thanks again, and we'll be in to see you on our next trip to Lincoln
City.

We just want you and your staff to know how happy we are that we
decided to have dinner at AVANTI'S Wednesday evening. We have been
to Lincoln City, many times and never found a restaurant that we
really liked, but we have now.
I can hardly wait to make another trip to Lincoln City for dinner at
AVANTI'S.

Good eats
We get a lot of suggestions on which restaurants
we should review. I don’t think any have been quite so enthusiastic
as the letter from Gary Cook of Aurora. He said his meal was one of
the best he’s ever had.
“I’d had about one half of a teaspoonful of
their great sauce on my plate and was embarrassed to ask for a piece
of bread to ‘clean up my plate,’ ” he wrote. “Reasonably priced and
a nice view, it was all I could do to keep from buying land to live
right next to the restaurant.”
Cook was writing about Avanti’s, an Italian
restaurant in Lincoln City. I’d say he likes the place.

My friends and I
recently visited the Oregon coast for a week-long vacation. Choosing
a different dining experience each day, we chose Avanti on the 4th
day and didn't stop talking about how great it was the rest of our
trip. We truly enjoyed our dining experience!
Being a vegetarian,
I sometimes have limited choices from menus - Not the case at
Avanti! My difficulty was in choosing from the wide variety of
vegetarian dishes offered.
Our meal was the
best Italian fare we've had - ever - and we will certainly stop by
next time we visit the Oregon Coast. The service was just what we
wanted and we even got hugs from Mom before we left.

We have been happy diners of the Avanti
restaurant since we first went through their doors in 2000.
From the first it was most evident the
skill, taste and caring of Joe and Leslie. We have over these same
years repeatedly recommended the Avanti to our friends who have
joined us in our good feelings. We of course therefore are totally

My husband and I were visiting L.City last
Wednesday, and when trying to decide where to go for dinner we
decided to try your establishment (menu in motel lobby). We got to
your restaurant 15 minutes before you closed and ordered take-out;
calamari, seafood fettuccine & linguine w/ clam sauce. It was
WONDERFUL! Not only was the food delicious, but the service was
great.
We will definitely visit you again!!

really great meal at your restaurant last week. Afterwards I asked
about obtaining a recipe for your pastina soup with Italian sausage
and was told that by e-mailing you I could get a recipe. That soup
is really good and I would like to have something like it at home.
I’m afraid that it’ll be months before we will have a chance to
visit the area and your restaurant again.
